Veteran director Helaine Head ("L.A. Law" and "Law and Order") was thrilled to be a part of the unprecedented production. "Working with veteran actors such as Holly Robinson Peete and the rest of the very talented cast definitely made this a very rewarding project," Head said. reporter, Michelle. After being paired up with an
attractive but contentious news cameraman, Anthony
Hilliard (played by D.B. Woodside from the "The
Temptations" mini-series), Michelle inadvertently
finds herself fighting to stop corruption BETs new film production unit, BET Arabesque Films in conjunction with Directors Circle Filmworks, has produced seven films since March. These films portray contemporary, multi-dimensional African American relationships and lifestyles in all types of genres suspense thrillers, dramas and comedies. The production slate represents the largest single production order of feature-length films starring African Americans in history. Stars in the films include Phil Morris, Ron Glass, LisaRaye, Richard T. Jones, Anna Maria Horsford, Brent Jennings and Vanessa Williams. All 10 films are adapted from the popular Arabesque line of African American romance novels which BET Holdings, Inc. acquired in June 1998. Roy Campanella II ("Brother Future") of Directors Circle Filmworks is executive producer of the entire film series. Roderick Plummer is supervising producer of the film. BETs Vice President of Film and Development, Njeri Karago, is the executive-in-charge of production. AFTER ALL is a BET Arabesque Films production, a subsidiary of BET Holdings, Inc., a multi-media entertainment company which owns and operates Black Entertainment Television. BET is the first national cable network targeted toward African American consumers and is currently available in 58 million cable households nationwide, according to Nielsen media research.
